We Run for a Reason. The Relay begins each year in April in Santa Monica, CA and finishes in August in New York, NY. Runners are selected through an online application to participate as individual segment runners in the 21-segment relay.

Each runner commits to fundraising $10,000 over ten months and running approximately 160 miles over six consecutive days during their assigned segment. Once selected, runners spend months training and fundraising, supported by the organization, before devoting a full week on the road to complete their segment.

On the road, runners are assisted by the organization’s road crew team, and each segment is carefully coordinated to ensure a seamless back-to-back team effort across the country. Funds raised support the organization’s mission to raise awareness of MS, aid research, and assist those living with MS-related disabilities.
